How to Become a Professional Pilot in the UK
Essentially there are 4 routes to becoming a Commercial Pilot with a European licence (European licences are regulated by the Joint Aviation Authorities: “JAA”, and the basic commercial licence is called the Commercial Pilot’s Licence: “CPL”).
- ‘Complete’ JAA CPL courses
- ‘Individual’ JAA courses
- Non-JAA licence training then conversion to a JAA CPL
- Military pilot training then conversion to a JAA CPL
