Over about 16 weeks you will conclude your flying in South Africa, and study for the second set of theory subjects.
The flying training will build on the previous phases, and teaching you new skills such as how to navigate using radio navigation aids. You’ll fly the same complex single-engine aircraft as in Phase 2, plus you will learn some new skills in a simulator.
We aim for you to enjoy yourself while you are in South Africa, as well as develop as a pilot and potential commercial operator. There are optional recreational/team building trips, and study visits, for example to an Air Traffic Control centre.
Just under a year into the programme you should fly your final flight test in South Africa and then head back to the UK for Phase 5.
